Born in the Oil Capital of Alabama, Citronelle, I made my way to Birmingham by way of the University of Montevallo, where I earned a B.A. in English. During the day, I am the Director of Community Engagement at WBHM 90.3, Public Radio for the Heart of Alabama. A raconteur at heart, however, I love sharing stories about growing up and living in the South, and I sincerely hope you love reading them.
I’m currently teaching a class in Creative Nonfiction for UAB’s ArtPlay. If you are interested in taking a writing class or having me give a workshop, please let me know.
I’d be tickled to speak to your group or at your event! I promise we’ll all have a big time. You can get up with me at audrey@audreyatkinswriter.com.
