Born in the Oil Capital of Alabama, Citronelle, I made my way to Birmingham by way of the University of Montevallo, where I earned a B.A. in English. During the day, I am the Director of Community Engagement at WBHM 90.3, Public Radio for the Heart of Alabama. A raconteur at heart, however, I love sharing stories about growing up and living in the South, and I sincerely hope you love reading them.

I’d be tickled to speak to your group or at your event! I promise we’ll all have a big time. You can get up with me at audrey@audreyatkinswriter.com.

How can I sign up for your blog? I LOVE your book and have given it to many friends and families, who grew up in the Soith. Thank you for putting your stories on paper 🙂

    1. Thank you, Charlotte!! If you go to one of the blog posts, on the right, there should be an option to enter your email to follow the blog. That way, you’ll get an email every time I post something. I’m so happy you liked the book and my little stories!

Hi! Just found this and am very much enjoying. Wanted to let you know I am also a graduate of Montevallo. I love meeting others who know the weirdness of that special little place in the center of Alabama.

    1. It’s nice to “meet” a fellow grad! Montevallo is a special place. And I’m so happy you like the blog. Thank you!
